March is National Crochet Month

For 18 years, CGOA has led events to celebrate March as National Crochet Month. The goal is to promote the art of crochet and engage enthusiasts and master crocheters alike.

This year, CGOA will host a Mega Crochet-A-Long event. Everyone is invited to participate but non-members will only be able to receive the first pattern. So join CGOA and as a member, you will receive all four patterns as part of this free member’s event.

March 1 – Shining Day Wrap by Andee Graves

March 8 – Almost Spring Mitts by Karen McKenna

March 15 – Braided Swirl Scarf/Shawl by Bonnie Barker

March 22 - Spring Blossoms Necklace by Jennifer Ryan

Here’s how it works. The Mega Crochet-A-Long provides four patterns for enthusiasts to follow during the month. Four talented designers will be offering to members a free pattern – one each week of March. Once offered, patterns will be available for one week only, so be sure to return to the website and download the pattern of the week.

National Crochet Month’s mission is to promote CGOA and raise its visibility. CGOA is the only national organization that promotes the education, art and heritage of crochet while setting the standard for skill and quality. We encourage all crocheters, whether beginners or long time enthusiasts, to join us in this celebration.
