Provide ALL Necessary Information:

We must have complete information in order to consider your proposals. Due to the cost of bringing instructors to the Conference, we recommend that you submit a minimum of 12 hours to be eligible for the full reimbursement and compensation package.

IMPORTANT - Please proof and edit your proposals before submitting for review. If accepted, your proposal information will be published AS SUBMITTED (be sure it is correct content-wise and grammatically before submitting). CGOA staff are not responsible for errors in class descriptions.

Basic Class Framework:

Classes are offered in three-hour or six-hour increments. Student pre-registration is encouraged, and onsite registration is accepted.

For 2018 the Education Committee will be looking for NEW and INNOVATIVE classes as well as those that have proven to be popular classics. Many returning students are familiar with the traditional offerings and are looking for new challenges and innovations.  Think outside the box.  Be prepared to offer complete and up-to-date classes for beginner to advanced crocheters that bring them fresh material and highlight the best of crochet.

Also, please indicate in your class description if the class covers techniques found in the CGOA Masters of Advanced Crochet Stitches and Techniques, such as:

Foundations: different ways of working into the starting chains, including a variety of foundation stitches; working in the round, including the Magic Ring; and how to work a flat circle

Gauge: importance of obtaining correct gauge; Golden Loop method of adjusting row gauge

Special Stitches: extended stitches, linked stitches

Textured Stitches: back/front loop stitches, post stitches, popcorns, clusters, puff stitches, shells, fans, bouillon/roll stitches, cables

Motifs: variety of motifs including different shapes (circles, squares, triangles, pentagons, hexagons); Granny squares; join-as-you-go methods

Edgings: reverse single crochet (crab stitch); braids

Teacher Guidelines and Payments:

The teacher guidelines and payment structure are outlined within the submission system. You will be asked to review and agree to these guidelines during the submission process.
